Get Addicted To Savannah Chase

With the weather getting warmer everyday, I figured why not turn up the heat here at The Lovestruck Novice for a change! Feel free to strip down to the bare essentials, if you get a little steamed. You'll ceratinly make someone's weekend exciting!

Sultry Savannah Chase me grill her buns on the TLN hot seat. She dishes about writing and was nice enough to provide an excerpt from her featured story in the MEN IN SHORTS Anthology, SPECIAL DELIVERY that's guaranteed to make you sweat!

Grab a fan and get ready to feel the heat!

1) If you were a book, what would your blurb be?

I don’t think I’ve ever been asked this before…Wow you are good….You have stumped me…

Savannah Chase dreamed about being many things in life, some included flight attendant, pop star, police officer, fashion designer. None of those things were what her heart told her to do. The one thing that she’d wanted was to make a change in people’s lives. Deep in her heart a passion burned bright, it fueled her drive to write and bring to life her imagination with words. Life had led her down a different path and away from her dreams of tales of love and passion. Savannah never gave up hope that one day she would be able to return to the path she was meant to take. The path that would let her grasp a hold of her dreams, and to make them come to life. Many years had passed and the passion to write only grew stronger. It led her back to her dreams and pushed her to make them come to life. With much hard work her dreams started coming to life. Savannah’s determination paid off. She’s now a multi published award winning author.

2) What is your voice’s tagline?

Passionate, imaginative, and full of dreams.

3) Are you a Plotter or Pantzer?

Mostly I’m a pantser. I just write as it comes. I do make notes but those are just ideas I get for the plot and I don’t want to forget them. Most of the times those ideas come when I’m trying to fall asleep. The only time I plot is if it is a series that I am working on and don’t want to mess up the whole story. Plus you need to make notes to keep track of the little things.

4) What obstacles have you faced in your career? And how did you overcome them?

So far I’ve faced one of my publishers closing and that was very hard. When you’ve never had that happen and it does you feel lost and not sure how to go on with everything. That has to be the biggest thing.

5) How much time do you spend writing or promoting? Every day? What’s a day in the life of the awesome Savannah Chase like?

I try to promo daily even if it is something small. I also do a lot of guest chats and that is promo as well. You try not to over promo because people will get tired of that. When it comes to writing it is something I do every single day. It might not be pages and pages but sometimes notes, or ideas or even editing. If I don’t write it feels like something is missing in my day.

I wish I lead a crazy and very interesting life…. I’m pretty mellow and so is my life. I do the work thing, the family thing and the author thing. I wish I had more time to write, would love to do that all day. Maybe in the future that will be possible.

6) What tips can you offer on publishers? What do you look for?

I’ve had my share of publisher troubles over the years but one learns from mistakes. When I look at a publisher I try to find out a bit about the company by talking to authors who are with them. Get a little bit of info on how the place does business. I know that different people have different experiences with publishers and you can’t rely on all the stuff you hear. Just look around, find out if this is the place for you and your work.

7) When did you start reading romance? Any authors you look to for inspiration?

Oh my I don’t even remember when I read my first romance novel. It was a very long time ago. Sherrilyn Kenyon is one of my favorite author’s and she is one person who inspired me to go out there and try to get my stories published. I’m a huge fan of her work.

8) What’s in the hopper for Savannah? Any new WIP’s or releases?

Hmmm..Right now I’ve got 6 books waiting to get one more edit. One of them is called Aphrodite’s Destiny. Here is a little info about the book.

Aphrodite’s famous for being the goddess of love. Helping others find passion is no problem. Her own love life is another story.

One night while going home from work she breaks all the rules with a single act of kindness by saving her enemies life. Nobody can find out what she’s done. Unknown to her there’s more to her injured guest than meets the eye. With word reaching Olympus about what she’s done, her father Zeus goes on a war path. Now Aphrodite must fight who she is and her own family to rescue the one man who stands for everything her kind are against. He’s the one who’s captured not only her heart but her soul.

I’m also working on a paranormal vampire book. It is part of a 25,000 words in 30 day challenge that myself and a few other authors are doing. I’ve redone this one three times but I think now I’m on the right path. I’ve also got over 100 other WIP’s waiting for me to finish them. The number keeps growing by the day.

Now, I bet you're amped up for a little Friday sizzle! Here's a blurb and excerpt from MEN IN SHORTS!

Special Delivery by Savannah Chase (featured in Men In Shorts: An Erotic Anthology)

Blurb:
Kara has always wanted to do something exciting, something daring, like have a one night stand. But, she’s never been bold enough. Then she meets Julian, her gorgeous mailman. Kara almost blows her chance until a single lost letter brings him unexpectedly knocking on her door. Will Kara make her move or will she let another opportunity slip through her fingers.

Excerpt (Special Delivery) **OH ME, OH MY! We're getting Steamy up in here! So turn away if you can't handle the heat, baby!**

The gentle breeze swayed the sheer white curtains that surrounded the canopy bed. Candles flickered all over the room as she glanced around, searching for him. Soft white rose petals adorned the bed, and touched the air with sweetness. Each delicate petal, soft as silk, caressed her skin. She spotted a shadow in the curtains. It quickly approached her. She bit her lower lip and her heart began to flutter with anticipation.

“Get up on all fours, and close your eyes,” the voice instructed her.

Every time she had a dream about him, he always came to her, and commanded her to close her eyes.Doing as he told her, she lifted herself off the bed and up on all fours to face the headboard. The bed dipped behind her as his weight pushed it down.

The breeze continued to rustle the curtains, and brushed her bare skin. It sent shivers down her body. His musky smell wafted through the air. She wanted desperately to open her eyes, and see who her mysterious lover was but she dared not. She only waited for his next move.

His warm palm cupped her behind before it moved up to her spine. He held something soft in between his fingers as he moved higher and higher. It stroked her skin, sending more shivers down her back.

“I will have my way with you,” he told her.

She could feel his breath getting closer to her. That’s when he placed a gentle kiss on her back.

Great interview, Savannah! I love your life's blurb. How long did it take you to come up with that, lol. I'm not sure I could condense my life into a blurb, though I find characters' lives easier.

Isabel it took me a long time...I don't think you can put your whole life into a blurb, just the things that stand out....thank you for comign by and dropping a comment...
