Monday Morning News

Welcome back, Welcome back!!!

Yes, I survived and have some wonderful scars to prove it! Thanks for all the good wishes! I appreciated every one of them. ((hugs!))

I blogged (via the scheduler) at MAMA WRITERS this last Friday. Click here to check out "HOOKING: IT AIN'T EASY . . ."

During my R&R, I got hooked into the Godfather Marathon on cable. Sheesh! What an awesome saga! Every time I watch the movies, I see something new.

What I liked the most was how Michael's character evolved. I think Part 2 is my favorite. I love seeing the young Robert DeNiro. Such a hunk!

Which one is your favorite? Do you have a favorite character? Any lines?

I totally love Clemenza when he says, "Mikey, why don't you tell that nice girl you love her? I love you with all-a my heart, if I don't see-a you again soon, I'm-a gonna die."

Ah, so many lessons to be learned out of Godfather quotes. LOL

How as your weekend?? Whatever you did, it had to be better than mine! At least now I know to say I'm allergic to codine AND its kissing cousin, vycodin! YUCK! I'm so glad it's Monday! :)

So sorry you had a bad experience. I, too, am allergic to codeine and vicodin. Taking Vicodin gives me a horrible skin rash, but codiene also gives me a micgraine. Wonder what we'll do if we ever have serious pain?

I haven't watched the Godfather movies in ages, but I still remember some of the scenes. They have definitely become icons of our time and a lot of people quote verious phrases like "make me an offer I can't refuse" and "go to the mattresses."

Oh sweetie, so sorry to hear about the allergic reaction. I was in deep lurk mode all last week playing catch up, so I missed that.

I love The Godfather! I was soo disappointed when I married into an Italian family and found them all to be so... normal! LOL. I was hoping for some real excitement.

My favorite quote by far is: Leave the gun. Take the cannoli.

LOL words to live by! ;o)

You poor thing! The only thing I can say about Vycodin, is that it sends me on a free trip every time I've tried to take it. NOT FUN!

I visited with friends and grocery shopped with my husband this weekend. Not earth-shattering events, but both enjoyable.

Hope you geel on-to-of-the-world soon.

So glad to hear your surgery is over! That's tough dealing with allergic reactions though. I hope they figured out something you can take to make you all comfy while you heal.

Gosh, I hate to admit this, but I have never seen any of the Godfather movies. Maybe, I'll check them out. :-)

HI Sarah,
I'm late checking in, AGAIN!
What an awful way to find out you're allergic. And really happy the surgery is over for you. Hope you are doing well and don't pick up those babies too soon.
