Whip-It UP Wednesdays!

Well, I didn't win. Rats!

But I'm very happy and excited for the finalist who did, Bonnie Dee. How exciting to know your first chapter is getting read by such an awesome agent?! The New Beginnings Contest was a wonderful experience and I appreciate all of Jennifer Haymore's time and consideration. Seriously! She did a kicking job of paying it forward! Hopefully, one day she'll let me grill her in the TLN Hot Seat. Too cool!

In WIP news:
I've done a little plot restructuring. Thanks to the contest, I had to have my synopsis fine tuned which brought to light some plotting problems. I need to give a big ole Thank You to Diana Cosby for all her advice on writing a synopsis. She really broke it all down for me and made the mountain into a mole hill!

Diana has some good stuff for writers on her website. She is a very driven author who is perfect inspiration for this novice writer! Here is the link to her
articles section.

I'm making steady progress, which has been very motivating. With any luck, I'll be right on track to meet my goal of finishing by summer.

What about you? Have you been able to stick to your goals from the beginning of the year?

Ha! too many things to get in the way! Sorry you didn't win, but hey, you finaled and that's really good. Thanks for the link. We can all use advice from time to time.

Good luck with the plotting. Everytime I go over my latest, I find things I need to fix or redo. I'm with ya!

Oh Sarah, my goals have gone away with the wind! But at least I'm writing, lol.

Sarah, thank you very much for your kind comments. I'm thrilled if anything we discussed helped. Best, I'm psyched as you dive back into your original manuscript. Believe in 'your' story. Go for it, I'm cheering you on! ^5

Hey Sarah,

Sorry to hear you didn't win, but that wasn't for lack of trying! You worked your butt off. You keep that up, you will not only get an agent but your work will be published! Glad to hear you've kept yourself motivated. Me on the other hand... well let's not go there! (wink) I need to get myself back to writing!

hugs

Hello my friend,

I was rooting for you, big time. At least you made the cut. That,in and of itself is a great accomplishment. Look what you've gained from it. You're on a new road, hopefully the road to acceptance. Hey, that sounds like a good title for a book, don't go stealing it now :D

Going to check out Diane Cosby now and see what I can learn.

Don't give up my friend!

Well dang it Sarah! It's really cool that you made it so far, but I'm sure it's frustrating as well. However, I concur with the consensus above that such an achievement should tell you that you are on the right track! So you get a Woohoo!!

And thanks so much for sharing the wealth that is Diana Crosby! Way for you to keep paying it forward. (Karma pays attention to that sort of thing. ;-) Don't you think?)

My goals? Despite all the challenges of this year, I'm still working away and actually got several pages done so far today!! Very excited about that.

Keep on smiling Sarah, you've got a great one!

Slainte`
